This page provides information regarding the one touch apps inside the Network Tools folder on the AOPP Homescreen.

Network Tools

MAC Changer

MAC Changer is a one touch MAC address scrambler.

Usage

  1. Launch App
  2. Select interface

Implementation

  1. Prompts user to select interface
  2. Runs command:
  3.     macchanger -r INTERFACE
    

    where INTERFACE is the interface selected by the user

Nmap

"Nmap uses raw IP packets in novel ways to determine what hosts are available on the network, what services (application name and version) those hosts are offering, what operating systems (and OS versions) they are running, what type of packet filters/firewalls are in use, and dozens of other characteristics." [1]

Usage

  1. Launch App
  2. Select interface
  3. Opt into service scan against discovered hosts

Implementation

  1. Prompts user to select interface
  2. Runs ping sweep on all detected networks:
  3.     nmap -sP NETWORK
    

    where NETWORK represents all the detected networks on the selected interface.

  4. (Optional Service Scan) Runs service scan on all detected hosts:
  5.     nmap -sV HOST
    

    where HOST represents all detected hosts

Tcpdump

Dump traffic on a network

Usage

  1. Launch App
  2. Select interface
  3. Choose log file save options

Implementation

  1. Prompts user to select interface
  2. Runs TCPdump on selected interface:
  3.       tcpdump -l -s0 -vvv -e -xx -i INTERFACE
    

    where INTERFACE represents the selected interface.

Tshark

"TShark is a network protocol analyzer. It lets you capture packet data from a live network, or read packets from a previously saved capture file, either printing a decoded form of those packets to the standard output or writing the packets to a file." [2]

Usage

  1. Launch App
  2. Select interface
  3. Choose log file save options

Implementation

  1. Prompts user to select interface
  2. Runs ping sweep on all detected networks:
  3.       tshark -i INTERFACE
    

    where INTERFACE represents the selected interface.

Dsniff

"Dsniff is a collection of tools for network auditing and penetration testing." [3]

Usage

  1. Launch App
  2. Select interface
  3. Choose log file save options

Implementation

  1. Prompts user to select interface
  2. Runs ettercap with selected flags:
  3.       ettercap -i $interface -T ${ssl} -q ${log} -M arp:remote ${syntax}/$gw/ ${syntax}/$target1/

Strings Watch

Strings watch is a app that uses Tshark to pull strings from network traffic.

Usage

  1. Launch App
  2. Select interface
  3. Choose log file save options

Implementation

  1. Prompts user to select interface
  2. Runs tshark with selected flags:
  3.       tshark -i $interface -q -w - | strings -n 8
